GENERAL DENTISTRY:

CROWNS AND BRIDGES -

A crown is sometimes known as a ‘cap’. Crowns are an ideal restoration for teeth that have been broken, or have been weakened by decay or a very large filling. They can be made of porcelain or metal or a combination of these materials. A crown is also done when a tooth is treated with a root canal treatment to give extra strength and support.

A bridge is a way to replace missing teeth. The bridge is formed to fit over the teeth on either side of the gap to create a solid connection to the jaw. Bridges are particularly useful at replacing multiple teeth in a row or a single missing tooth.

ORAL PROPHYLAXIS –

A regular visit for scaling and polishing every 3 to 6 months is what we advice for maintaining a healthy oral hygiene. It is a very basic but highly important procedure which removes tartar and stains from your tooth surface giving you a healthier and brighter smile.

TOOTH COLORED FILLINGS/RESTORATIONS -

They are also known as composite fillings. This is a safe and attractive option for restoring your decayed teeth. These restorations are made to match exactly with the color of your natural teeth thus making the result a very aesthetically pleasing one.

Also these restorations are mercury free and so they rule out any health risk posed by metal amalgam (silver) fillings which contain mercury.

We can also safely replace silver amalgam fillings with tooth colored fillings.

EXTRACTIONS -

We generally strive to preserve most teeth; hence this would not be a treatment option but a last resort. For teeth that have very poor prognosis due to increased infection there would be no choice but to extract it. During tooth removal, we take utmost care to make the whole visit as comfortable as possible for you.

COMPLETE DENTURE/PARTIAL DENTURE-

In compromised cases where Dental implants won’t be the treatment of choice full mouth / partially missing teeth can be replaced using acrylic Dentures. Dentures have improved over the years making them look even more natural and providing more comfort. These are processed in a Dental Lab using high end technology giving you natural looking teeth set to restore back your confidence along with your smile.
